History

LGSTX Services has provided aviation, facilities and distributions/logistics support that keep customers operations moving for over 30 years. Beginning in 1980 as Air Park Services, a division of ABX Air, it had the responsibility of maintaining the privately owned airpark in Wilmington, Ohio.

Over the years, LGSTX Services has grown and taken advantage of opportunities to be able to provide operations-critical support to a broad range of both airport and corporate clients across the United States.

Timeline

January 1, 2012 –  ABX Cargo Services (ACS) changes its name to LGSTX Distribution Services (LDS).

November 8, 2011 –  ABX Cargo Services (ACS) becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of LGSTX Services.

February 2, 2011 –  AEFS changes its name to LGSTX Services, Inc.

July 6, 2010 –  AEFS became an official wholly-owned subsidiary of Airborne Global Solutions.

June 2, 2010 –  AEFS enters into contract with Clinton County Port Authority to maintain and operate the Wilmington Air Park.

August 15, 2009 –  AEFS became an official division of ABX Air.

January 30, 2009 –  DHL pulls out of domestic market entirely.

November 10, 2008 –  Deutsche Post World Net, parent company of DHL Express, announced it would pull out of the domestic market entirely effective January 30, 2009.

October 6, 2008 –  AEFS signs its first contract, a lease agreement.

May 28, 2008 –  Deutsche Post World Net, parent company of DHL Express, announced it is negotiating with its competitor United Parcel Service (UPS) to have UPS replace DHL’s U.S. airlift and hub operations.

April 2008 –  ABX Equipment & Facility Services (AEFS) formed to service customers outside of current Hub and Linehaul Agreement.
